Insidious - I Saw a Demon

I would like to introduce you to "Insidious. First of all, do you know what Insidious means? It means to do evil in secret. This was released at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is directed by James Wan and written by Lee Wannell. The two had also worked together on “Saw”. The film also starred Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne. It has been in the top 10 for five consecutive weeks since its release and has a high rating of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes. Let me tell you about the story. Shortly after Josh (Patrick Wilson) and his family move into their new home, their eldest son, Dalton, goes into a coma. His wife, Renée (Rose Byrne), decides to move out because she has been seeing more and more suspicious voices and figures in that house, but the strange phenomena have not gone away. The Visit - Meet Your Grandparents For The First Time

" The Visit " was released in the United States on September 11, 2015. It is directed, written and produced by M. Night Shyamalan.  The main characters are played by Olivia DeJoung and Ed Oxenbould. This movie may be a different kind of fun than the movies I've mentioned so far, as the entire story is told only through the images shot by the main characters. However, be careful if you are prone to screen sickness. First, let me tell you about the story: Becca, 15, and Tyler, 13, accept an invitation from their grandparents, whom they have never known before, to spend Monday through Saturday at their grandparents' house in Pennsylvania. Becca was going to make a documentary film about her time with her grandparents. There were three rules at the grandparents' house. First, "Have a good time." Orphan - There Is Something Wrong With This Girl.

" Orphan " means a child who has no parents or relatives. The Japanese title of this movie is " エスター ", named after the main character, an orphan girl named Esther. The movie was released in the US on July 24, 2009, and in Japan on October 10, 2009. It was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Esther is played by Isabelle Furhman, who was 12 years old at the time. Other main characters in the movie are Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard. Vera Farmiga also appeared in “ The Conjuring ”, which was featured in the first post of this blog. According to the movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, more than half of the people rated this movie highly. Let's look at the story. Once Kate miscarried her third child, she was heartbroken. After consulting with her husband, John, she decides to take in a little girl named Esther from an orphanage. Unlike the other children, Esther was calm and somewhat mature. " Get Out " is a movie directed by Jordan Peele and stars Daniel Kaluuya. It was released in 2017 in the United States and won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 2018. I chose this one because it is a new kind of horror movie with social elements.  Now, let me introduce the story. Chris, an African-American photographer living in New York, is invited to the family home of his Caucasian girlfriend, Rose. However, there is a black servant there and he begins to feel strangely uncomfortable. As time goes by, Chris becomes uneasy about the suspicious behavior of the people around him, and this is the story of his attempt to leave her parents' house with Rose. This is in the  horror, mystery and thriller genre.  Jordan Peele is a director, screenwriter, comedian, and actor and his talent has led him to work in many other fields. The first movie I will introduce is " The Conjuring "(2013). This is the movie that I found the most realistic and frightening. It features Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as the main couple. The movie is directed by James Wan. Let me introduce the story first. The Warrens, who are very famous paranormal researchers in the U.S., have been investigating many cases. This is a story about an incident in 1917, which was taken as the most horrific case among them. And it's a true story.  The case takes place in a house in the countryside of Harrisville, Rhode Island. There lived the Perron family, a young couple and their five sisters. As time progresses, they seek the help of Mr. and Mrs. Warren as the strange occurrences increase. James Wan is a very famous Australian horror movie director.
